Rob became Executive Chairperson of the Board in November 2021 after stepping down as Chief Executive Officer. Rob served as Chairperson since March 2009 and previously he served as Lead Director from June 2003 until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in February 2006. He has served on the Board of Directors of Vail Resorts since 1996 and has been involved with the Company since 1991. Prior to becoming the Chief Executive Officer, he was associated with Apollo Management L.P., a private equity investment firm, since its founding in 1990. Rob and his wife are the founders and board members of the Katz Amsterdam Foundation, which seeks to help address behavioral health challenges in mountain resort communities and support organizations that are working to address racial justice challenges across the United States. Rob currently serves on the Wharton Leadership Advisory Board and the Fast Company Impact Council, and he has previously served on numerous private, public and non-profit boards.
